DIRECT AND INDIRECT SPEECH

Pengertian

Direct speech adalah kalimat yang mengungkapan atau mengatakan secara langsung tentang apa yang telah orang lain katakan.

Contoh                  : Dina said, “I am fine.”

Indirect speech adalah kalimat yang mengungkapan atau mengatakan kembali secara tidak langsung tentang apa yang telah orang lain katakan.

Contoh                  : Dina said that she was fine

Perkataan atau Ungkapan tersebut dapat berupa :

·         Statement ( Pernyataan )

·         Command ( Peintah / Permintaan )

·         Question ( Pertanyaan )

1.     Simple present :
She said, “I go to library every Monday.”
